Is It BBQ Season Yet?

I'm just curious, but is it BBQ season yet? Asking for a friend......

In The Netherlands, entering the spring season means, sure, you can get some sunshine occasionally but it's also still quite cold. The Dutch flock to streams of sunlight like a addict does to its dealer when their supply runs dry. Where we live, it usually doesn't warm up properly, (like one imagines if they talk of the seasons and specifically, spring) until maybe the end of May. Plus, it can even be far into June or July where you no longer need a light jacket or sweater when biking around during the day. If you have a yard where the sun can shine the whole day and the wind is blocked, you've found the end of the rainbow and subsequently, its pot of gold! But the minute you step outside of that place and the wind hits you, your jacket goes on faster than the Dutch can say, "Jammer!" (Bummer...)

As a native of L.A., waiting for proper spring weather in this country is torture! But also, as a native of L.A., I have learned that my understanding of weather, or more specifically, seasons was always askew....

Growing up in paradise weather does that to you...
