Roasted Celery Root "Fries"

These are so very cool! They have an unexpected taste of celery but not exactly like the stalks that grow above this bulb. A little cumin goes a long way here. BUT, if you do not like cumin, they are very good dipped in truffle mayo, or tossed in a chimichurri sauce.

Roasted Celery Root "Fries"

serves 4-6

800 g celery root- cut in large french fry shape

1/4-1/2 t ground cumin

1-2 T olive oil


Toss ingredients together. Lay on a baking tray covered in aluminum foil. Cook 40 minutes in an oven at 190-200 C (370-390 F).
